Wales and Ireland Genetic Epidemiology Group

The Wales and Ireland Genetic Epidemiology Group (WIGEG) aims to promote/facilitate statistical genetics and genetic epidemiology research, and encourage discussion and collaborations between the Welsh and Irish Universities, and researchers further a field.

We have bi-annual meetings, alternating between Wales and Ireland.

The focus of the meetings ranges from statistics, medical/epidemiological genetics, population genetics, through to bioinformatics, and really any area that impinges on phenotype - genotype relationships.
